#seniorproblems

Last friday I went to the University of Akron to visit the campus, and I made the decision to attend school there next fall. And that’s when it really hit me. That I’ll be leaving my childhood behind. No more mom doing my laundry, no more parents cooking my dinner, no more cuddling with my dogs when I’m upset, no more teachers telling me to do my homework. And all of this, I’ve taken for granted until this second. It’s not like I’ll be worlds away, but four hours away isn’t enough to be tied at the hip with the people I have been for a lot of my life. And more than anything I’ll miss my bestfriend, Summer. It’s hard to leave someone you have seen every single day for ten years of your life. I’m closer with her than anyone else, and she knows everything about me, and now I’ll be away for four years. But it’s life, and I have to do what is best for myself. But it’s just crazy to think everything is gonna change in acouple short months. August 22nd will be my first day of class… first day of reality, and first day of becoming an adult.
